Wedding Party

Meet our friends and family who are walking down the aisle with us.

Katie Grant

Co-Matron of Honor

We met through Katie's husband, Anthony, in 2008 and quickly became good friends. I was Katie's Maid of Honor in 2009 and we lived together for a couple years shortly after. Katie, her husband, and her three children currently live less than a mile away and we hang out often and she spoils us with homemade bread and charcuterie boards.

Michelle Highwart

Co-Matron of Honor

Michelle and I met in 2000 when we played on the Freshman volleyball team at Bishop Montgomery. We were roommates for about 5 years after college and I was her Maid of Honor in 2018 when she married her long time boyfriend, Kevin. Michelle currently lives in the Nashville area but we try to visit each other whenever we can.

Brie Rodriguez

Bridesmaid

Brie is my big sister that I spent much of my life looking up to. She's also my favorite hair dresser. She currently lives in Palm Desert, where she has her salon.

Katie Hapgood

Bridesmaid

Katie is the little sister I begged my parents for for years (I actually wanted a brother but she's just as good). Katie currently lives in California, but we are trying to convince her and her little family to move to Texas so Layla can see her cousin/partner in crime, Charlie, more often. Katie spends her spare time raising chickens and being crafty.

Amy McLaren

Bridesmaid

Amy is Franky's younger sister. She currently lives in California where she works as a counselor. Amy is also a talented amateur chef and is always making us hungry with pictures of meals that she prepares.

Denise De La Torre

Bridesmaid

Denise is Franky's youngest sister. She currently lives in California where she started her own little business making delicious chamoy.

Alan Alvarado

Co-Best Man

Alan is a loyal friend and that you want to have within your circle of friends. He is a loyal and honest friend. But he is also that pain in your rear end that you would not trade for the world. Let's just say Alan and I were not the best of friends when we first met but glad we both stood by each other.

Fernando Guzman

Co-Best Man

Fernando and I have known each other 20 + years. In those 20 + years we have created a bond that will never be broken. We have shared both laughs, heartache as a result of our fathers, and a lot of Bud-Lights (had to be bottles because Fernando would have it no other way) to mask some pain. I have witnessed him become a great family man and and hard worker. Till this day, no matter everyone else says, I am still his number one Wide Receiver!! Thanks for being a great role model for me growing up.

Edgar Valencia

Groomsman

Edgar's and I's friendship started in our 9th grade computer class. The way we met would probably make a normal kid during that time think we were odd. We literally sang Wully Bully by Sam the Sham & Pharaohs thinking the lyrics were Bullet Bullet. So we proceeded to use bullet symbols all over a blank page and literally almost peed on our selves. Again, we were 9th graders. Throughout years of being great friends, I do not think I explained to Edgar that he was a God send. He was the perfect friend I needed that kept me in the right path. Wherever he went, I went. If he went to college I was there. Eventually our paths went different ways, but one thing never changed, he remained a great friend with a big heart.

Carlos Araujo

Groomsman

Carlos aka Charlie (<-self appointed) has always been the big brother of the group. I have always looked up to Charlie because he took on a role of a father at a young age and did a pretty damn good job. Charlie was one of the late comers to our circle of friends but the person I bonded the quickest with. Charlie and I have shared a lot of good memories partying together but also have gone to each other for advice in moments of vulnerability. Just make sure he does not have too many drinks because he will either pour a container of salsa down his mouth or end up with his pants down in public.

Johnny Molina

Groomsman

Johnny, my brother, and I have had some highs and some lows. Despite our relationship growing up, I wouldn't be who I am without him. He taught me how not to take crap from no one and that has kept me on my toes till this day. My brother took on a father role right out of high school when no kid should have. For that I was and still am eternally grateful. PS, I still hate the Raiders! Love you.

Ray Yanis

Groomsman

Ray and I hit off a friendship immediately upon arriving in Texas. We were two single adults with an alcohol tolerance of an alcoholic relapsing. Ray has one of the biggest hearts I know and loves unconditionally. Two great characteristics you want in a friend and thus, the reason he could not get rid of me. Sorry Ray, you are stuck with me. If you see Ray, offer him a Jameson on the rocks!!
