Great outdoor seating. Has a nice homey feel. It’s in the middle of the historic district. The tasting room is the old carriage house. The beers are delightful, there is also cider, wine and kombucha on tap. They typically have food trucks here.
Fantastic location. Sitting at the base of North Table mountain. It is a 2-3 mile drive from downtown but the scene is worth it. They often have live music here, almost always have food trucks, and their beer is good too.
With interesting and authentic foods like the Golden Mill Sushi Roll to Cochinita Pibil and Birria tacos that take 10 hours to cook, to comfort items like fried chicken sandwiches and BBQ, topped off with New Zealand style ice cream, there’s something here for everyone. Add in the convenience of our 2 self-pour walls and that means you don’t ever have to wait in line for a drink again! So sit back and stay awhile all in an open setting amongst some of the best views Golden, CO has to offer.
There are several options for hiking to the top. Option 1: Sleeping Elk Trailhead: A steep 30 minute hike with one short difficult section. If you’re without transportation and staying downtown, you can walk to this trailhead at 18th and Belvedere Drive. This is a highly trafficked trail. You do need to pay attention when you get to the top of the Mesa and begin walking up to “Castle Rock” make sure you notice how the trail looks so you don’t miss it on the way back down. https://www.hikingproject.com/trail/7005453/sleeping-elk-trail Option 2: Near the intersection of Quaker St and Golden Hills Road is another trailhead. This is for a more mellow hike. You start near the top of the Mesa and walk uphill a bit, then can walk around the Mesa as long as you’d like. There are miles of trails up here.
