At USNA, Jen and Emma happened to be placed in the same sophomore swim class. Since the class only met once a week and they lived on opposite sides of the Brigade, they didn’t even know each other’s name. Over the course of the semester, Jen asked her friend in the class who “that girl with the big smile” was. That girl was Emma. Emma was oblivious to both of Jen’s attempts to invite her on a date to workout. Once the Spring semester rolled around, they happened to be placed in the same engineering class with Colleen. The three of them began a study group which became an excuse for them to hang out. After a few months, Colleen acted as the best wingman for Jen and helped her finally land a date with Emma. The rest was history.
