Question

Tell me more about "CAMP DYLLAN"

Answer

Our complimentary daycare, aka "Camp Dyllan," will be from 2pm-10pm at 181 Dipsea Road, the house next door to the reception home. We will have three verified caretakers, all with background checks, and all of whom have ample experience in daycare settings, nanny sharing, and child safety. We are providing three early shuttles for the parents who'd like to get settled into "Camp Dyllan" before heading to the ceremony, so you can set up your pack & play, and get to know the caretakers a little bit. The first shuttle will leave at 1:45pm from downtown Stinson, and then every 15 minutes thereafter. Jen will contact you in advance to check in about your preferred shuttle time. From there, you can either walk to the ceremony site (~10 minute walk), or wait for the next shuttle to swoop you up outside the house. There will be toys, food, and age-appropriate activities. We will also be providing dinner for the kids -- likely pasta. The caretakers will be in charge of everything, including putting your sweet little ones to bed. After the ceremony and during the cocktail hour and reception, feel free to grab your kiddo for photos, food, etc, or even if you'd like them to join you in the main reception house next door. Keep in mind that there will be no options for kids sleeping at the reception house, so we highly recommend taking advantage of the childcare. Parents deserve to let loose! Please bring: - Pack & Play for sleeping (unless a regular bed is okay) - Pajamas, pacifiers, stuffed animals, and other sleeping necessities - Diapers, wipes, and any medications - A change of clothes (just in case) - Bottle, sippy cup, and/or formula if needed - Please write out any specific instructions for caretakers - Optional: baby monitors, sound machines, iPad, special toy, etc.

Question

What's the weekend timeline?

Answer

FRIDAY: Welcome dinner 4-6pm at a park picnic area near the beach. This will be a casual pizza picnic with canned wines, beers, and spritzes, plus a fenced-in grass area for the kiddos. A perfect opportunity to get to know everyone and get a lay of the land. And pizza! SATURDAY: We ask that Guests arrive at the ceremony site at 3pm. The ceremony will take place in the community area near the tennis courts. A shuttle (12-seater van) from downtown Stinson will begin at 1:45pm, so that any parents taking their kiddos to Camp Dyllan (see kids tab!) can have time to acclimate before arriving at the ceremony, which will be adults-only. The shuttle will depart every 15 minutes after that. Please let us know your preferred shuttle time in your RSVP response. Shuttle will do pick-ups outside of the park area in Downtown Stinson, near 15 Calle del Mar, Stinson Beach, CA. The cocktail hour and reception will start at 4pm, with dinner around 5:30, speeches around 6:30, and dessert + dancing around 7pm. The shuttle will start transporting people back downtown starting around 9:30pm, with the last shuttle leaving around 10:15pm.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see you all looking your best in festive cocktail attire! We highly recommend bringing layers, as it tends to get cold after sundown, and we will be eating outside. For shoes, keep in mind that the ceremony will take place on sand/dirt, and we will be walking back to the reception after the ceremony, about a 12-minute stroll. To keep the reception house floors looking nice, we ask that you **do NOT wear stiletto heels of any kind!** Wedges and flats only, please!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We chose to keep our wedding as small as possible, with only immediate family and close friends, so unless your invitation includes a plus one, we ask that you honor our choice to keep this an intimate affair. Thank you!

Question

What else is there to do in Stinson?

Answer

Stinson is a very small little beach town, but that doesn't mean there's a lack of things to do! Get ice cream at Parkside Cafe before hitting the playground and then strolling to the beach. Rent bikes and ride around the town. You can also rent kayaks for lagoon exploring and surfboards for whitewater shredding. There are plenty of local hike trails, but if you want to venture 30 minutes, there's also hiking in Miur Woods (offering both intermediate hikes and easy, stroller-friendly nature walks). There's also a small grocery store in town, as well as a couple of restaurants and coffee places.
