Question

What's the weekend timeline?

Answer

FRIDAY: Welcome dinner 4-6pm at a park picnic area near the beach. This will be a casual pizza picnic with canned wines, beers, and spritzes, plus a fenced-in grass area for the kiddos. A perfect opportunity to get to know everyone and get a lay of the land. And pizza! SATURDAY: The ceremony will start at 3:30pm near the community tennis courts in Seadrift. Shuttles from downtown Stinson and any Seadrift rentals will begin around 2pm, so that any parents taking their kiddos to Camp Dyllan (see kids tab!) can have time to acclimate before arriving at the ceremony, which will be adults-only. We will provide more exact shuttle details closer to the date! The cocktail hour and reception will be from around 4-10pm, with dinner around 5:30, speeches around 6:30/7 and dessert + dancing around 7/7:30. The shuttle will start transporting people back home starting around 9:30pm.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see you all looking your best in festive Cocktail attire. Bring layers, as it tends to get cold after sundown, and we will be eating outside. For shoes, keep in mind that the ceremony will take place on sand/dirt, and we will be walking back to the reception after the ceremony, about a 12-minute stroll. To keep the reception house floors looking nice, we ask that you **do NOT wear stiletto heels of any kind!** Wedges and flats only, please!

Question

What else is there to do in Stinson?

Answer

Stinson is a very small little beach town, but that doesn't mean there's a lack of things to do! Get ice cream at Parkside Cafe before hitting the playground and then strolling to the beach. Rent bikes and ride around the town. You can also rent kayaks for lagoon exploring and surfboards for whitewater shredding. There are plenty of local hike trails, but if you want to venture 30 minutes, there's also hiking in Miur Woods (offering both intermediate hikes and easy, stroller-friendly nature walks). There's also a small grocery store in town, as well as a couple of restaurants and coffee places.
