Like typical anti-social millennials, Jennifer and Dave swiped right in January 2016. Their first date was at Seasons 52 and they quickly bonded over books and musicals. Dave had a great time and wanted to get dinner there, but Jennifer left due to allegedly having work the next day. Dave went home hungry from Seasons 52 but another date was planned to see a movie together. Their first movie was something they were both interested Pride & Prejudice (Jennifer) & Zombies (Dave). They spent more and more time together, including changing Jennifer's favorite beer away from Bud Light and nearly killing Dave by signing him up for multiple half marathons. Dave has still never eaten at Seasons 52. And he never will.

One Saturday, Dave and Jennifer drove out to the Hamptons and planned to start the day by exploring the Montauk lighthouse. Little did Jennifer know, Dave planned on proposing at the top of the lighthouse. This plan was thwarted at every turn. At the top of the lighthouse, there was someone monitoring everyone coming and going on the stairs and it was so windy that Dave was concerned the ring would be blown out of his hand. His plan B was, proposing along the beach. As they wandered the beach, Dave was looking for a quiet place to propose, but the beach was unfortunately very crowded and his search was unsuccessful. They came across a swing that overlooked the beach from a nearby hill. The view was great and they enjoyed hanging out there, but Dave kept trying to change the topic to getting engaged. Eventually, Jennifer had her fill of the area and decided it was time to go get lunch. It was as she was trying to leave, then Dave pulled out the ring and proposed!
