FAQs

Please continue to check back for updates as we get closer to the event.
Question

How do I get to the ceremony/reception?

Answer

We are providing shuttles from Gold Canyon Resort to our venue in the Superstition Mountains, the time on the shuttle is about 15 min. You MUST take the shuttles to/from the venue, there is no option to Uber there or back. If you are driving, please plan to park at Gold Canyon Resort and take a shuttle to/from your car.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your children, because of our desert location, they are unfortunately not invited to our event.

Question

What are your COVID plans?

Answer

We understand that this is an unpredictable time and are grateful for all those who choose to celebrate this time with us. Our entire weekend of events will be outdoors and conducive to a covid safe environment inherently. We will be adhering to local policies, though it is a good idea to have a picture of your vaccination card and a mask available to you should you need it or choose to wear one during our short shuttle rides. We trust that if guests are not feeling well or are concerned about having been exposed, they will take the appropriate steps to test, or will choose to stay home and not risk spreading to others. Should we be finding ourselves in unpredictably unsafe times as things unfold closer to the wedding date, we will communicate fully with all our guests about our plans, and keep you updated both here and directly via email.

Question

Do I have to take the shuttles?

Answer

Yes. YOU MUST. To get to our ceremony/reception location, you must take the shuttle which will safely guide you down a winding dirt path through the protected land of the Superstition Mountains. This is to ensure your safety and comfort at our event. We will provide a schedule for the large shuttles, and smaller sprinter shuttles will be available to/from the Gold Canyon Resort throughout the night which you can taxi or shuttle from

Question

What if I miss the shuttle?

Answer

Please don't! But, we get that things happen, and we will provide you with the number of our coordinator who will help you out with an emergency option

Question

Can I stay at a hotel in Scottsdale/Phoenix?

Answer

We recommend against this since travel to/from our shuttles will be far and, as mentioned above, you MUST take a shuttle to get to the location! We have reserved two hotel blocks to ensure easy and local accommodation for all of our guests. If you can't stay away from the city life and would like to stay closer to downtown, we get it, and ask that you please be mindful of shuttle timing.

Question

What's the deal with Uber/Lyft?

Answer

You'll see some information about this on our transportation page, but to consolidate into one place - Uber is nonexistent in Gold Canyon, and Lyft service is slow/spotty/unreliable. You will easily be able to get an uber/lyft FROM the airport to gold canyon, but it will be difficult to hail a rideshare from our hotel. If you do not plan to rent a car from Sky Harbor, we recommend arranging a local taxi from the hotel to the airport for Sunday with the front desk when you check in. You can prebook a lyft, but because of national Lyft shortages this is not your best option. If you plan to stay anywhere other than Gold Canyon Resort or the Best Western, you will need to arrange alternate late night transportation after the shuttle drop off. Please be mindful if you are driving that roads can be long, winding and dark in the desert, and confusing if you are unfamiliar, at least until you reach the highway.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be Formal Attire - elevated dresses or jumpsuits for the ladies, suits for men, tuxes not required. We recommend dressing warmly (e.g longer dresses for ladies), as it can get chilly in the desert after sundown. And while there will be heat lamps and blankets available for warmth as needed, please plan to bring a wrap or jacket for maximum comfort. Women, we recommend wearing block heels as you will be in nature. Men do not need to wear tuxedos (unless that’s your vibe)
