Flight

Getting There

To our guests travelling from Vancouver - For the best rates, we recommend booking a flight from Vancouver (YVR) to London, Paris, or to a major city in Germany, then a separate flight to Split, Croatia. We have usually found there to be one layover to stretch your legs in Calgary, Toronto, or Iceland. This often provides the best rates while offering flexibility with your travel plans. Arriving a few days before the wedding will give you time to settle in, adjust to the time zone and climate, and relax before the big day. We have found Ryanair and Easyjet to be inexpensive airlines travelling to Split. For our European guests - We recommend flying directly into Split from your nearest airport, as many European cities offer frequent and affordable flights. Arriving a few days before the wedding will allow you to relax, adjust to the local climate, and fully enjoy the festivities.

Where to Stay

For a more cost-effective yet charming stay, we recommend booking through Airbnb or Booking.com, with a preference for accommodations that include breakfast. Staying close to Split's city center or the Old Town is ideal, as the wedding venue, Villa Dalmacija, is just a 5-minute drive from this area, nestled in the beautiful Marjan Forest. For groups of friends traveling together, consider renting larger apartments—it's a great way to share costs and enjoy a more social experience. On average, you can find excellent options for around 130 CAD per night for two people. We strongly encourage booking through Booking.com for the best selection and deals.

Travel Note

Getting Around

Getting around Split is both easy and enjoyable, offering a variety of convenient options. You can easily explore the city by car, with Uber and taxis readily available. For a more scenic experience, walking is a lovely way to discover Split’s charming streets. You can also hop on a bus, or enjoy the freedom of scooters and bikes, which are a fun and popular way to navigate the city. No matter how you choose to travel, you'll find plenty of ways to explore the beauty of Split at your own pace.
