We met at a Meet Up group gathering in Portland, Oregon on a Friday the 13th 2018. Both of us begrudgingly forced ourselves to go to the event as we wanted to branch out and make new friends. Weird thing was, three weeks earlier, we had seen each other at local bar but never got the chance to meet. With a brave opening remark of "Hi there. I'm from Ohio" by Christine and Jenn in a lively, Drew Carey fashion, yelled out "Ohio!". The rest is history!

Christine first asked Jenn to marry her on a cold, rainy, autumn evening November 2018. Christmas lights were hung, candles were lit and Jenn said Yes! Jenn asked Christine to marry her on a beautiful sunny afternoon July 2020. Our first date was a Portland Thorns match and with that Jenn asked Christine to marry her in front of Providence Park!
