We got engaged at Belmar Beach, NJ, the spot of an early "date" right after we officially started dating. Here is a picture of us on a trip to Belmar several months ago!

I told Jennifer that I wanted us to dress up and take some pictures on the beach. So I brought my tripod and we started shooting. Little did she know I had a ring with me!

At one point, I said to Jennifer, "Hey, let's get some pictures on that jetty over there!" We made our way over, and that's where I popped the question!

There were some fisherman heading out to the jetty--my plan was almost ruined! I thought quickly and asked them in Spanish if I could have the jetty for 5 minutes because I was proposing. They agreed!

Several people saw me propose from the beach. They congratulated the newly engaged couple on our way off the jetty, and we made some new fishermen friends!
