FAQs

Traditions/Rituals: * Chuppah (Wedding Canopy): symbolizes the home we will build together. Open on all sides, it represents hospitality and love surrounding us. * Circling: symbolizes respect, unity, and the intertwining of our lives.  * Kiddush (Blessing over Wine): Wine symbolizes joy and sanctification. * The Ring Exchange: "Harei at/mekudeshet li b’taba’at zo kedat Moshe v’Yisrael" — "With this ring, you are sanctified to me according to the law of Moses and Israel." * The Ketubah (Marriage Contract): signed before the ceremony, this is an artistic document written together, outlining our mutual responsibilities. It reflects both legal tradition and personal values. * The Sheva Brachot (7 Blessings): Ancient blessings celebrating love, joy, and creation (in Hebrew and English). * Breaking the Glass: Representing the fragility of life and the importance of joy, even in the face of brokenness. It also marks the official beginning of our new life together. Join in with “Mazel Tov!”
