I had started working at this hair salon in HB and this girl that was an assistant there kept asking me if I was single because she wanted to hook me up with her boyfriends roommate. She showed me pictures of him and although I thought he was cute, this girl was a nutcase so I didn't want to meet anyone who was friends with her assuming they were the same. She eventually talked me into it and we met for drinks at Slaters 5050 in HB. Bryan then offered to drive me home so I didn't have to uber. Fast forward a month of him trying to go on dates with me, I finally caved when he agreed to go to a Great Dane meetup with Wilson and I. And since that day I knew he was the one for me.
The miserable year of 2020 was brightened up with two MAJOR life milestones. One being Bryan's proposal. After a few miserable months of a complete shutdown and me not being able to work, things started to open up a bit and Bryan planned a trip to Coronado for my birthday. I had a feeling a proposal might be happening that weekend but was completely thrown off when it happened. Were getting ready to head to my birthday dinner. My mom, stepdad, and our neighbors were over doing gifts and next thing I know Bryan was down on one knee in our kitchen of all places. We had the rest of the weekend in Coronado to celebrate, and good thing we did because I found out a week later I was pregnant with Madeline. My 31st birthday will always be one to remember.
I have ALWAYS wanted to be married on my grandparents wedding day. My Nanna and Grandad have always been the couple I've looked up to my entire life, showing me what a marriage should be and to stick together through anything. October 28, 2021 will be their 54th wedding anniversary.
