Come for great shopping and restaurants, stay for the people watching. You can't go wrong at Aster Hall (attached to the Four Seasons), Doc B's, Tavern on Rush, Somerset, or Gibson's.
Mornings on the Riverwalk cannot be beat. Stop outside of the Merchandise Mart to see where Brian proposed to Jennifer!
Bike or walk along Lake Shore Drive and snap some quintessential Chicago skyline pics in the process. Veer slightly off course for an excellent cup of coffee at La Colombe on Elm St.
Walk along Randolph Street to be instantly overwhelmed with the restaurant options. A few of our favorites: La Josie, Booze Box/Sushi Dokku, Bonci Pizza & Time Out Market
After a successful morning at Chicago's greatest attraction (Nordstrom Michigan Ave, of course) treat yourself to lunch at Shaw's Oyster Bar -- Jennifer's favorite spot in the city. Later, head over to Bar Cargo for the city's best slice of pizza (according to Brian) and then you've officially had the perfect River North day.
Wander up to Lincoln Park and explore the Lincoln Park Zoo and Botanical Gardens. If you're hungry, Summer House Santa Monica would be a great lunch option. If you're not hungry, at least go get one of their famous chocolate chip cookies (you're welcome)
