Playa Minitas
This is the beach at Casa de Campo, complete with a kids pool and adults-only pool area. We definitely recommend visiting during down-time. There is full-service of drinks and food to all beach and pool chairs. There are also yummy smoothie and icecream shops. Towels are provided. We usually enjoy a seaside lunch at Minitas Restaurant.
The Marina
There are 10+ restaurants at Casa de Campo!!! To make sure that you get to enjoy all of Casa de Campo, we recommend having dinner at both La Marina and Altos de Chavon At the Marina, our favorites are Shibuya, SBG, Pepperoni, and La Casita. To make reservations call +1 809-523-3333 and asked to be transferred to the restaurant. It is recommended to make reservations 1-2 months in advance. Pro tip: Shibuya & SBG are available on OpenTable
Altos de Chavon
Altos de Chavon is a re-creation of a 16th-century Mediterranean-style village, located atop the Chavón River in Casa de Campo & where Brent and I will be saying "I do!" It is a beautiful area to walk around and take photos. There are a number of restaurants and bars here. Our favorite is the Italian restaurant called La Piazetta. Alegria has breathtaking views of the Chavon River. To make reservations call +1 809-523-3333 and asked to be transferred to the restaurant. It is recommended to make reservations 1-2 months in advance.
Teeth of the Dog Golf Course
Teeth of the Dog is the #1 golf course in the Caribbean with 18 beautifully landscaped holes with seven along the ocean. The Teeth of the Dog is not merely a catchy name; it is a reflection of the sharp, jagged edges of the rocky shores that encircle the course. The course's name underlines its authenticity and provides a nod to the natural environment around it.
BOAT CHARTERS
Please contact Gabriel Magdalena for boat rentals on WhatsApp +1 (829) 214-0987 Yachts can be chartered to Palmilla, Catalina or Saona Islands. Our personal favorite destination is Palmilla! The captain docks the yacht off the coast of the National Reserve and you spend the afternoon jumping off your boat into calm and clear waters. Jenni, her family, and friends can't help but return to Palmillla year after year. Pro tip: discuss catering with Gabriel. His company works with a kitchen that can provide empanadas, hummus, salads, ect to fuel your epic adventure. You can purchase alcohol and other snacks at the Nacional Grocery Store at the Marina, which is next door to where you will meet Gabriel and the boat staff.
SCUBA CARIBE
Brent and I LOVE Scuba diving together. Scuba Caribe is located right on Minita's Beach for kayacking, snorkeling, and scuba diving. There are incredible snorkeling and dive sites nearby - even an amazing shipwreck!! Note: to pre-book on the website you will book with "scubacaribe hilton la romana" - you will board the boat at Minitas Beach at Casa de Campo, and they will take you to the Hilton where the larger location is to pick up gear
Hair/ Nail Salon
Hair, make-up, and nail salon that is open Monday-Saturday from 10am-6:30pm. When scheduling your hair appointments please remember that the shuttle for the ceremony at Altos de Chavon will leave from the hotel lobby at 3:00 pm.
