After a lot of thought and consideration we have decided to postpone our wedding date to September 6, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As hard as this decision was, we honestly knew the choice was simple and clear when we looked at the list of family and friends we want there with us when we become husband and wife. We want each and every one of you there, healthy and safe to witness our vows and commitment to a lifetime of happiness together. We cannot wait for our new special day! Thank you to our family, friends, and vendors who have been there to help us figure out what the best next step was. We know September 6th will be the best day of our lives and cannot wait to celebrate with you. We hope you all have a drink in our honor on May 23rd and are ready to party in September! Cheers to an extra few months as an engaged couple where we will continue to love each other unconditionally and grow together. We love you all xoxo #9/6/2020 #JennygotArin(g)
In 2016, Jenny and Arin were asked to be in their good friends' wedding parties. Jenny was a bridesmaid in her high school friend, Emily's bridal party. Arin was a groomsman in his college roommate, Tony's groomsman party. As fate would have it, their paths didn't cross at the bachelor/bachelorette weekend due to Jenny's work schedule. So when they showed up to the rehearsal dinner and found out they were partners to walk down the aisle together (for the first time!) they both were excited. The next day at the wedding they enjoyed time with their friends taking pictures, eating and dancing the night away. As the night ended, they spent time at the after party chatting and enjoying each other's company. The next day they exchanged numbers, went on their first date December 1, 2016 and the rest is history.
Arin and Jenny love spending time down at Matunuck Beach, so when Arin texted Jenny on June 13, 2019 asking if she wanted to spend the day in Matunuck the following day she obviously said yes. Little did she know, Arin was intently checking the weather app at least 10 times a day all week making sure it was going to be nice and sunny Friday. Jenny and Arin got up early and drove from Boston to Matunuck. When they got to the beach Jenny suggested they went for a walk on the beach (her favorite thing to do when they are there). As they walked along the beach talking about who knows what, Arin was discretely checking his coat pocket to make sure the ring box was there. When they got to a private area in front of Bud's Candy Shop, Arin got down on one knee! Jenny was shocked and speechless (in a good way!). Arin talked about his love for Jenny, her family, their combined love for Matunuck and asked if Jenny would marry him. Of course she said YES!! After jumping up and down, forgetting there was a ring involved, Arin putting the ring on her finger, taking some pictures, and lots of hugs and kisses, Jenny had Arin re-propose so she could remember exactly what he said (his second proposal was just as perfect at the first). They then celebrated with family and friends. It was the best day ever!
We want to thank each and every one of you that has helped make our love grow. Your love and support has made the last three years the best years of our lives and we are SO EXCITED to celebrate a lifetime of memories together with each of you. We look forward to celebrating with you all. <3
