The short version of our love story is our cousins got married in 2016, I was the maid of honor and he was the best man. I secretly had a crush on Anthony, Anthony’s secret was not so much a secret. Id noticed little smiles and a better posture when Id entered a room, he was in. He would leave trails of love for me that I would later follow. My heart would race knowing he mentioned my name to someone else. Crushing on him secretly was frustrating and inspiring at the same time. When a simple acknowledgement takes place… a love story begins! After 2 years, Anthony invited me out to a little place called Haiku. An hour before our long-awaited date, the power went. Not today Satan! Anthony honked the horn – I panicked. I got in his car and said to myself “its ok, once I get to the restaurant I will go straight to the bathroom, Ill check my foundation line, my eye liner, my lipstick—”. I wanted to make sure I looked perfect! We got out of the car and little to my surprise, Anthony grabs me, and we kissed. Nothing else mattered, we both knew in that moment that this would last forever! I cannot explain when liking, turns to admiration, to crush, to falling in love.
COVID didn't ruin everything this year! Ant and I needed a getaway from this crazy year. We stayed in a cute little romantic cottage to enjoy some time together. Little did I know, Anthony had planned to get engaged! Anthony proposed in a beautiful hiking location call "Peekamoose Mountain". I will never forget this experience, he made it so special.
