So our story starts over 10 years ago. We had both known each other since high school when we met for the first time at a Kna weekend retreat in NY. I remember a bunch of girls whispering about "the twins from Chicago" (to this day they are still referred to as this) and figured let me see what the big fuss is all about haha. Anyways, we would always run into each other at Knanaya Conventions or other random events. And it was the same story at each one, out of all the people there, we would always end up hanging out and talking to each other. I started to look forward to these events because I knew it was the only chance I get to see him. In the past 10 years, Alvin will claim that he's made countless moves on me but I was just oblivious or playing hard to get (Possibly true lol). But timing was never right for us, until finally we ended up on the same party planning committee for a kna convention. Text msgs about event details turned into deeper life conversations which turned into phone calls, facetime calls, and then finally our first date! I can definitely saying taking a chance and going up to "those chicago twins" was totally worth it. Who knew a simple hello would lead me on this crazy journey to getting married to the love of my life!

So I met Jenn when I was 18. She remembers this more than I do but we initially met at a retreat in New York and go introduced to each other and became friends. We would write on each other’s Facebook walls and say awkward 18-year-old things lol. Everything changed for me when we went on a convention cruise 2 years later. Jenn doesn’t remember all the subtle hints I was dropping to her that weekend but to anyone else it was obvious that I had developed a crush. After that weekend, she was always in the back of my mind but I didn’t know if it would turn into anything because we only saw each other at conventions. Our friends even noticed our chemistry and were patiently awaiting the day that one of us would make a move lol. Over the years we still stayed in contact through text, snapchat, and facebook and always gravitated towards each other whenever we had the chance to see each other. Timing wasn’t always on our side until in 2017 when I decided to really shoot my shot and give her a call while I was driving back from Indianapolis one weekend. Turns out that it was a great idea because it led to the greatest 2 hour conversation I’ve ever had. From there, we really hit it off and started talking every day for the next few months until I finally built up the courage to ask her out on a date! Since then it has been an unbelievable ride through the past couple years and I could not imagine spending my life with anyone else!
