We met through mutual friends years prior to dating and they even tried to set us up about two years prior to dating. Around April of 2016 we started to get to know each other through Facebook messenger and on the 1st of May 2016 I gave Adam my phone number. Shortly after that, we went hiking at Kilgore Falls and the King & Queen Seat for our first date followed by pizza for dinner. Over the last seven years, each new adventure has brought us closer together and this November will be the beginning of our greatest adventure yet.

It was my birthday weekend and I wanted to go hiking. Unfortunately, it was supposed to rain all weekend. Well, Saturday I woke up, looked outside, and decided it looked ok so we were going hiking. We hadn't been to Kilgore falls in awhile so I decided that was where we would go hiking. We were enjoying a quiet morning hike as we had the whole place to ourselves. I decided to go as close to the waterfall as possible (as I always do) and Adam followed. We hung out there for a little while and I began to walk away. I noticed Adam standing there just a little to long and gave him a silly side eye that said "what are you up to?" but genuinely thought nothing of it and began to walk to another area. As I began to walk away, Adam said "Oh yea, I've been meaning to ask you something..." I turned around to find Adam down on one knee in front of the waterfall asking me to marry him. I said yes, we kissed, and had a long embrace. After that we excitedly continued our adventure at the King & Queen Seat followed by pizza for dinner, but this time he wasn't too nervous to eat (like on our first date).
