Our Story

Where do we begin? We met on New Years Eve of 2015, right after midnight at Watermark in Asbury Park, New Jersey. It was one of those New Years that we both did not want to go out but decided to go somewhere local with good drinks and good music. Once a friend broke the ice, we shared some laughs and asked the basic questions. The night came to an end and we exchanged phone numbers. A month passed and we finally decided to casually meet at a local restaurant for drinks. Our first official date was at Caracas in NYC, a little Venezuelan restaurant that only had about 8 tables. We had sangria and the best arepas in NYC. Fast forward to March 6th, we were "official". We went to Miami in April, and took the biggest leap of faith and traveled to Egypt in June, after only four months of dating. Crazy, we know! We definitely had some trying times, but it was beautiful and a once in a lifetime experience. We then traveled to Paris, Amsterdam, Austria, Spain, Mexico, DR, Miami a few more times, California, Chicago, New Orleans, and up and down the east coast. We obviously love to travel, we love trying new food and wine, dancing (we took salsa classes) and experiencing new things. Most importantly, we love doing these things together. Six years of good food, wine, family, and friends...and a lifetime to go!

The Proposal

Zion proposed at the Bow Bridge in Central Park. He had me walk across the bridge where he waited with the cello player. It was romantic and intimate, in true Zion fashion.
