They met on a rifle range located at beautiful Fort Stewart, GA. Matt was a simple 70B, who was lucky to have not gotten lost on the way to finding the love of his life. Jennifer, an Army PA, was grumpily sitting in the sand, hating life. They saw each other, locked eyes, and Matt finally worked up the courage to speak to her. "You're sunglasses are stupid," he stated in a monotone voice. She scoffed at him, and it was hate at first sight. Fast forward to Drawsko Pomorskie, Poland. Matt and Jen were participating in a training exercise, and were the last two LT's left, and they realized quickly that in order to retain their sanity amongst the never ending boredom, they would have to eventually speak to each other, which surprisingly produced a supportive friendship. Fast forward again to Camp Aachen, Germany. Finally some down time, which equaled quality time to finally really get to know each other. Dinner dates, movies, drinks and depressing country music, eventually led to a realization that there was something worthwhile in the laughter, jokes, and occasional hilarious stumble back to the barracks area. Eventually, Matt and Jen made it back in one piece stateside, where they promptly moved in together, their bond growing even more as the months went on. The time is now, with an adorable frenchton puppy named Lily in tow, they are ready to dive headfirst into the next chapter of their lives, as husband and wife.
