Shortly after moving to the Tampa area, Jonathan signed up for Hinge in the hopes of meeting his forever person, or at least a guide to the city. Luckily for him, Jenn was also on the hunt for her forever person. She messaged first, asking about his cute little dog, Dobby. After messaging and talking on the phone, Jenn was insistent on meeting up, even after Jonathan nervously backed out during the first scheduled date. But once they finally met on the Tampa Riverwalk, Jonathan's nerves were at ease, and the start of something amazing began. A whirlwind of a year soon followed, including multiple Disney trips, family visits, and city-wide adventures with friends. Their love continued to grow, and soon they both knew they had found what they were looking for. Jonathan spoke to Jenn's siblings and parents and made a plan. When Jonathan spoke to Jenn's parents, he was given a very special heirloom engagement ring from her Grandma Chickie. Grandma gave Jenn her ring as a gift last year, along with a prayer that she would find a special person to spend her life with. Grandma's diamond became the center for Jenn's engagement ring, and it is an invaluable gift, as Grandma Chickie passed away peacefully at the age of 95 in January this year. On November 10, 2023, Jenn and Jonathan planned a family day on the boat so their parents could meet for the first time. When they arrived, Jenn was shocked to see her entire family (including NORA!) waiting there as well! After several "oh my gosh, what are you doing here, you are supposed to be in New Jersey" comments, Nora handed Jenn a gift bag and Jonathan walked Jenn to the water, beside a beautiful flower backdrop. Jenn was sobbing while Jonathan opened the gift and got down on one knee with the engagement ring, and asked THE BIG QUESTION. Of course, SHE SAID YES, and they are excited to begin their lives together!
