It all began in the fall of 2022 when we met through the University of Arizona Graduate Christian Fellowship. What started as a friendship quickly grew into something more as we spent time together—whether it was through group outings, church, or simply enjoying each other’s company. At the time, Johan was preparing to graduate with his master’s degree, while Jennifer was in her third year of pharmacy school. Despite the short time before Johan’s graduation, our bond deepened, and we soon realized that we were meant to be more than just friends. From best friends for a semester to best friends for life, we now share a love for adventure, traveling, dancing, and making unforgettable memories together. On Christmas Eve in Dallas, Texas—just a day before Jennifer’s birthday—Johan asked the most important question of all. It was the best birthday gift she could have ever imagined! Now, we’re beyond excited to start this beautiful new adventure together as husband and wife.
