The historic town square dates back to the founding of Rupert in 1906. When visiting the square you can find a variety of retail shops and restaurants. The best place to stay is right on the square at the Drift Inn. Some local favorite shops on the square are Panaderia, Michoacan, and the E-Street Deli. A personal highlight of the square is the Historic Wilson Theater where we will be holding the wedding ceremony and reception.
Occasionally a building appears in an out-of-the-way place that seems to defy local expectations—the 1920 Wilson Theater is one such building. The two-story brick building is a flatiron in plan with its narrow entrance pointing toward the historic square. The entry, the most highly decorated and unique portion of the building, features a curved, red brick facade with four decorated arches topped off by high apertures trimmed in terra-cotta-like ornament. Each aperture features a round light fixture that illuminates the inside and outside of the entryway. The Wilson Theater was a glorious addition to the small Idaho town but by 1925 the building was in receivership. By the 1950s, much of the fine ornament had either deteriorated or been removed and a standard movie marquee had been added to the facade. In 2000, the restoration effort started that would take 17 years to restore this historic landmark to the condition it is in today.

The Cassia County Museum focuses on the history in the Cassia area. We have many displays, train cars, WW II Memorabilia, farm equipment and much more. By protecting and preserving the history of Cassia County, the museum bridges the divide between past and present through displays, exhibits, and education. When we respect the past we educate the future.
Often referred to as the Niagara of the West, Shoshone Falls is a must-see attraction in Twin Falls, Idaho. At 212 feet tall and 900 foot wide, Shoshone Falls is one of the largest natural waterfalls in the United States surpassing the height of the famous Niagara Falls. Shoshone Falls is located on the Snake River as it carves its way through a deep basalt Canyon on its way to the Columbia River. It is about an hour driver west of Rupert.
Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve is a "weird and scenic" landscape of lava and sagebrush, located in southern Idaho. Most visitors explore the trails, caves, and scenic overlooks along the park's 7-mile loop road, but more opportunities abound in the park's vast wilderness. It is 104.8 miles (1 hr 46 min) outside of Rupert
