Who would’ve thought that you could go 40 years and just when you think your time has passed, you find your perfect partner. I never would’ve thought that internet dating was the key to finding someone to spend the rest of your life with, but that simply is how it all started. Both of us have lived quite the lives, we’ve been in ups and downs and have experienced losses and gains, but there was no greater gain then when I gained my other half. I think we both knew from our first conversation that we had the possibility to build something special together. That conversation lasted 3 or 4 hours but it seems like we never really stopped, and that conversation still continues today. It seemed like everything lined up perfectly, our strengths and weaknesses seem to compliment each other, just like how she’s an introvert and he’s an extrovert, she cleans the floors and he does the toilets and sinks. You know how when they say you know you know, well there was no greater wake up call in our lives then meeting each other. It felt like a boost to start pushing towards building our lives that independently had just been stagnant. We knew we had goals collectively, and initially we had some small obstacles to overcome, Proximity being one of them and logistically finding the best place for us to raise our Remy. Our first year together consisted of us taking many trips together to places like New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, California, the Carolinas, and even getting told after all that that we couldn’t enter Rhode Island of all places unless we quarantined for 2 weeks. There were obstacles dating during covid but it didn’t seem to bother us at all. After the years of us traveling we ended up in Aruba, where we ended up getting engaged. You would think that would be it as far as a romance goes, but through the process of planning a wedding; what will we wear; where will we go; what songs will be played, We have only connected further and both of us cant wait until we can finally say that we are husband and wife. We both look forward and hope that you can join us on our wedding day, to write the final pages of our wedding story.
