The ceremony and reception are adults-only events. If you will be travelling with children, please let us know as early as possible so that we can help with local childcare.
Everyone! If you are in town, we hope you'll join us on Friday evening at the Bavarian Bierhaus. If your children traveled with you, feel free to bring them along. Heavy appetizers will be served as well as soda, coffee, tea, and a cash bar. There will be plenty of food, so come hungry!
The hotel is about a 30 minute drive from the airport. Ubers are available in the area, but if you plan to do any other activities in the Milwaukee area while you're in town (which we highly recommend!) then it may be more cost effective to rent a car for the weekend. A shuttle service will be provided between the hotel and the wedding venue on Saturday.
The recommended dress code is Farm Formal. The ceremony will be outdoors and cocktail hour and reception will be in the gardens and barn. So, dress to impress while still being comfortable in an outdoor setting. It's going to be a bit chilly, with highs in the 50's. The barn will be heated, but the ceremony and cocktail hour are outdoors, so layers are a good idea!
The shuttle will make two runs from hotel before the wedding - leaving from the hotel at 1:45pm and 2:30pm. After dinner is over, there will be a 7:00pm shuttle back to the hotel for those who don't wish to stay and party. Towards the end of the evening, the shuttle will be looping between the venue and hotel beginning at 9:15pm.
Yes! There is plenty of parking onsite, and cars may be left in the parking area overnight until NOON on Sunday. The venue is an approximately 15 minute drive from the hotel. There will also be a shuttle between the venue and hotel on Saturday.
There is a free streetcar downtown (https://thehopmke.com/), so if you're headed to multiple sites downtown, you can take the streetcar to avoid finding multiple places to park/taking a bunch of ubers. However, it only runs in a limited area, so driving is still your best option to get most places.
