Travel and Accommodations

Hello everyone! We know travelling all this way can be quite challenging and expensive, so we've come up with a list of travel and accommodation suggestions that can fit your budget, as well as make the research a little easier on you. The places on this list are closest to our venue, and are conveniently located to make life easy! I've personally visited them all to make sure they're up to snuff. If these don't suit your taste, please feel free to conduct your own search. However you get there, we're so grateful you came all this way!

Flight

Fly into MNL

Fly into Manila International Airport (MNL). Check out the Skyscanner website (www.skyscanner.com) to find great deals on flights! Click View below to redirect to Skyscanner. After collecting your belongings from baggage claim, there will be a money exchange booth to get some cash out. 1 USD is equivalent to about 50 Php (Philippine Peso). In the same area, you can find booths that say "globe" or "smart" these are local cellphone carriers. ask them for a free sim card and the best way to get unlimited data, texts and minutes to last you your stay.

Rental Car

How to get a ride from the airport to hotel

Our venue is about 1.5 to 2 hours from the airport. I would never recommend driving in the Philippines, because I find it to be pretty stressful and not something you'd want to do on a vacation. So, instead, hop into a spacious van to take the whole family and all your belongings from the airport to your hotel for approximately 70 USD per van (can accommodate up to 15 people), one way. Click 'view' below to start booking. If you're coming alone you can book a van to yourself or email us at linabernathy2020@gmail.com to see if others traveling alone would want to share a van.

House Or Rental

Hotel choice 1: Prime Residences Air BnB

Tagaytay Prime Residence, Tagaytay - Calamba Rd
Tagaytay, Cavite 4120, Philippines

Here's a list of airbnb's from Tagaytay Prime Residence. Prices range from $20-$60/night. (click 'View') Close to lots of restaurants and convenience stores, and only an 11 minute walk to the wedding venue! If you're travelling without a car, this is a great location. If you are travelling with a car, please note that they charge Php 50 (1 USD) a day on weekdays with in and out privileges. Pay directly to the parking attendant. Please read booking information closely! Most of these prices are for 2 guests or fewer, but some give you the option to add more guests for an additional fee. As soon as you book your room, be sure to get the room number and check in information. Also! make sure you get a lake view for a nice panorama of Taal Lake! If you don't score a lake view room, not to worry, they have a rooftop too! P.S. Never used Air B&B before? How would you like $40 off your first reservation? Hotel

Hotel choice 2: The Destination Hotel

Ground Floor, Tagaytay Prime Residences Building, Emilio Aguinaldo Hwy
Tagaytay City, Cavite 4120, Philippines
 +63 46 443 9988 ext. 00

Mid priced condo-hotel. Shares a building with Prime City Residences, and has similar rooms. With less creative themed decor. Looks like a regular hotel room, with room service access and housekeeping (as opposed to Air B&Bs which do not usually have housekeeping.) Great location, has a 7-eleven, a coffee shop, and a local delicacy/pastry shop, nail salons, etc. right downstairs. 10 minute walk to the venue, or a short ride away. Take a look around, explore!

Hotel

Hotel choice 3: Vista Real Hotel

6, Tolentino East Tagaytay City Rd
Calamba, Cavite, Philippines
 +63 995 160 7676

Small hotel with a gorgeous view of Taal lake and volcano. A little more pricey than the other options, but also has a convenient location. Short distance to our venue. Has a Korean restaurant in the hotel lobby, it's located on the main road, with easy access to public transportation. Short walk to lots of local fast food and restaurants, Fora mall, etc. Make sure you ask what view your room gets if that's important to you. Some of the cheaper rooms have a lovely view of a concrete wall. haha

Hotel

Hotel choice 4 : Hotel Carlito

 +63 46 409 9230

This is the fanciest choice of the bunch. It's still in very close proximity to all the other hotels I've listed above. Hotel Carlito has a fine dining restaurant and a french cafe in it's lobby. I can't attest to the quality of food, but even if you don't stay in this hotel, it's easy enough to visit for lunch/dinner and taste for yourselves.
