Michael and I met through social media in June 2019. After a few short days of messaging back and forth, I went to Johnsonburg to meet him. The connection was immediate. We went to The Dam Inn for our first date, and after eight short days of knowing each other, Mike asked me to be his girlfriend and to move in! Very fast, I know!! We spent our first summer getting to know each other. We traveled, went boating, and did all things summer. It was amazing. When fall came, I learned about the Mafia-Bills Mafia to be exact. I’ve never been a big sports fan or followed the NFL. The experiences Mike shared with me totally changed that. I quickly became a member of the Bills Mafia and am so grateful for that. So many amazing memories are made in Buffalo while cheering on our Bills. The away games are just as memorable and amazing. Anyway, GO BILLS! I’ll keep this next part short and sweet. Quarantining with Mike for months and months only brought us closer. We did a lot of at home dance parties, mountain walks, and, well, drinking. LOL. In addition to getting closer with Mike, I was able to really get close with our Johnsonburg friends and I will forever be grateful for that. Lastly, we were able to add another tiny kitten to our home, Ronald. Our little guy was abandoned in our window well and was an adorable surprise to our home. He is a little blessing, even if our Lucy Lemon doesn’t always agree! There’s light in any situation and these were ours. We celebrated our first year of dating on June 28th, 2020. Then fast forward to December 25, 2021, Michael finally proposed! Two and a half years later, almost to the day, he got down on one knee in our home and asked me to marry him. I was ecstatic! I immediately FaceTimed my parents and siblings to share the amazing news. When we told his family in person, they had the sweetest reaction, especially his cousin, Alexa. Their reactions had me in happy tears! It was an awesome Christmas to say the least. We set our date for June 17th, 2023 immediately. I booked all of our vendors within two weeks! Meanwhile, I surprised Mike with a trip to Cabo for his Christmas gift for June 2022. After a few months of being engaged and wedding planning, we decided to elope on our vacation to Cabo. We asked parents and siblings to join us and we eloped! It was intimate and amazing. That day truly felt like a storybook ending. However, we felt strongly about still wanting to have our wedding day with all of you! So here’s to round two! We cannot wait to see all of you and to celebrate love!
