The story of how we met? Its probably best to hear it from us in person...but for those who have not had the delightful opportunity to hear the tale from both Nick and Jenny...we will give you an idea here. We both happened to moved to Denver at the beginning of 2014...but the story doesn't start there...it would take 10 months (well for Jenny 10 months and 2 weeks) for their paths to cross. Nick, from Seattle, had just started a Seahawks Booster Club at a small bar called Southside. (Now the day Nick met Jenny is not the day Jenny met Nick-but best to tell you that story in person!) Jenny, from Chautauqua, NY happened to, in a random turn of events be bartending at Southside. Fate was about to step in (Nick would say it was a remote). In a moment of boredom, Jenny went upstairs (where the Mile High Seahawkers were watching the game) and got into a quick conversation with Chris, a founding member of the group, and Nick. Less than a full sentence was shared between them yet that interaction sparked the beginning of their love story. Back downstairs Jenny could not stop thinking 'that guy' needs to come down here and talk to me...next commercial break there he was. At the 3rd or 4th commercial he asked her if she had ever seen anyone solve a rubik's cube. Naturally she responded, "yes everyone in my family can solve them", but still intrigued she let him impress her, and that he did, solving it in less than 100 seconds. (Here he will tell you his mistake was not requesting a date if he solved it quickly...come to find out he didn't need to). After the game was over she was invited to come hang out with the Seahawker's crew, despite being very tired, she wanted to spend more time with this tall, handsome man. The night was a whirlwind, they could not stop talking to each other and were even mistaken for a married couple by a random bystander. It was love.
November 12, 2016 A perfectly beautiful day in Breckenridge, we were there celebrating our second anniversary. After a day of exploring the town, enjoying the local mountain culture, we headed back to our condo to relax in hot tub prior to cooking a wonderful meal and enjoying the evening together....little did Jenny know, she was in for much more than just dinner and company. Once back up in the condo, while Jenny was getting ready, Nick was setting the stage. She first realized something seemed amiss when Nick requested she stayed in the bathroom, her suspicions started to grow when he came to the bathroom door with notebook in his hand and seemed slightly off. Finally both ready, he called her out to a room filled with pictures, presents, candles and champagne! It was beautiful and romantic, they sit down and Nick starts telling Jenny how much he loves her and how special their relationship has been since the fateful day they met two years before. Presents were opened, pictures looked at, yet the champagne remained un-popped, much to Jenny's dismay. There was one final present and Nick got down on one his knee, opened a small box, and out popped a ring, promptly falling on the floor...it was perfect! She said YES as Frank Sinatra's Beyond the Sea provided the perfect ambiance. and oh wait, the best part...he filmed it! https://youtu.be/hC0fzD__HMw
