When Zack and Jenni met, they soon learned that each held a mutual love for all things Japanese. Their first date took place at a movie theater featuring a Studio Ghibli film. Both Jenni and Zack were "cautiously optimistic" about the date and each other as potential partners. Soon, though, they discovered that a spark had been ignited and was never to be extinguished. Enaging in a courtship, Jenni and Zack embarked on many adventures together, including karaoke bars, movie dates, attending conventions and assemblies together, lovely walks in the state parks, and meeting attendance/field service.
