Many people may or may not know but we actually met online. Both of us are workaholics and it left us little time to socialize. After a series of frustrating dates I had just decided I was going to delete my profile and leave it in God's hands. As I was trying and trying, Rob sent me a instant message saying "Hey". Normally I wouldn't have even responded, but something about his picture intrigued me enough to answer. From there we met for an 8 AM breakfast date. Anyone who knows Rob, knows 8 AM is not him....but thank God he agreed. We hit it off instantaneously and an hour quickly passed. We both agreed we wanted to get together for a date later that night and parted ways. As I was attempting to get work done at my sewing studio, I was like a teenager excited and could hardly stay focused. Apparently he was in the same state of mind because I soon got a text asking if I would be interested in changing it to a day date rather than waiting till later. Of course I jumped and said yes! That day became a dream first date. Seriously, the type of date that you watch in movies, that included a kiss under a rainbow. Since then it has been a whirlwind. We took a cruise together 4 months later in October, and came back only to realize we didn't want to spend a single day apart. So we started looking right away at houses and bought a home together in December of 2018. In January, he showed incredible loving support when my brother had a stroke. He stayed watch over my kids while I had to go to Iowa to help my brother. I came back to a newly landscaped yard that he worked so hard at to surprise me. After another trip to Sea in August, we got engaged in St. Thomas. Coming full circle we booked a cruise for April 11th-18th, and decided we would get married before we go, on Cocoa Beach and use the cruise for our honeymoon. THEN COVID19 CANCELLED EVERYTHING!!! We have patiently waited....we have replanned and have had to cancel. We don't want to wait any longer so we have decided to get married and take a little vacation on the coast afterwards. We would want everyone to join us but know it is financially unfeasible and really just not safe. Thank you everyone for your well wishes and blessings, we will be sure to post pictures afterwards!
So many people have asked almost since we met, "So when's the big day??" Most could and still see how much love and joy we have being together. Happy? that is truly an understatement! So glad to be taking the step to become husband and wife and making things right under God. We wish so much our friends and family could be with us, but we know it's impossible because of distance and this horrible pandemic. We hope we can share as much as possible through this website. We would love to hear from anyone!!
