What does GEEK CHIC mean? (What should I wear?)

Answer

BE COMFORTABLE! Our theme is a Doctor Who/Disney Mash-Up, so if you come Disney Bounding(dressed as a likeness or in colors of your favorite character) or in a Tardis dress, either will be fine. The ceremony will be short, about 30 mins outside in late October, followed by cocktails and small snacks outdoors. then the reception is indoors. Dressing Geek Chic is optional. Wear what makes YOU comfortable!

Can I get a photo with Cooper (the dog ring bearer)?

Answer

YES! Cooper will be around BEFORE the ceremony for photos. Please look for Marc (the dog-bearer) to get photos with Cooper as he will be going home shortly after the ceremony!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are kindly asking that only our photographer takes photos during the ceremony, but you are welcome to take photos during the cocktail hour and reception. Please take plenty of photos during this time, as we will probably forget to since we'll be busy and talking to everyone!

Can I bring my sonic screwdriver?

Answer

YES!!!!! (for those who are not familiar with DOCTOR WHO, this is the main tool of the Doctor). Sonics are even welcome during the ceremony for the announcement of husband and wife, so please feel free to bring your SONIC!

Drinks? How do the drinks work?

There’s a cocktail hour and an open bar. That’s right. Open bar. Not a cash bar. (You’re welcome) :). Tips are always appreciated for the amazing bartender.

Are you registered anywhere?

Answer

We’re old. We have stuff. But we do like to go on adventures! Our registry is for funding our honeymoon that will be taking us to Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, Salem and Fall River, Ma. If you wish to donate to that, we’ll use the funds to explore our nation’s history, visit spooky places (Eastern State Penitentiary, the Lizzie Borden House) and see Pandas for the first time! We may drink too. Actually, we will. So we promise to enjoy the most out of it!
