Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jennell Oddo and Peyton Harsh
Welcome to Chicago! We love it here and think you will too! Chicago is known for its “neighborhoods” but they can be overwhelming. Checkout our neighborhood guide for our favorite things to do in each while you’re here: Fun Facts Nickname: Chicago is often called "The Windy City," not for its weather, but for its long-winded politicians in the late 1800s. Architecture: The Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower) was the tallest building in the world for 25 years and is still one of the tallest in the U.S. Deep-Dish Pizza: Chicago is home to this iconic dish, which was invented in 1943 at Pizzeria Uno. The River: The Chicago River is one of the only rivers in the world that flows backward, thanks to engineering efforts in the late 19th century to protect Lake Michigan's water supply. The Bean: “The Bean” (officially Cloud Gate) in Millennium Park is one of the most photographed spots in the world. Sports: Chicago’s sports teams: the Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks, and Bears.
