What is it? Jago is a Punjabi pre-wedding celebration with dancing, singing, and lots of tradition. The word Jago means “wake up”, symbolizing waking up the family, relatives, and community for the upcoming wedding celebrations. This is a high energy, fun event with lots of singing and dancing!

Dress Code: Modest attire. Shoulder, legs, and heads should be covered. Head coverings will be provided for men.

What is it? The Anand Karaj is the Sikh wedding ceremony, performed in the presence of the Guru Granth Sahib (holy scripture). This is a sacred, religious event that honors the grooms faith.

Holy Matrimony

Dress Code: Modest attire. Please avoid white or ivory as it is reserved for the bride. Formal or semi-formal attire is appropriate.

What is it? The Catholic wedding ceremony that takes place in a church, where the couple will receive sacramental blessings. This sacred and formal celebration is an important part of honoring the bride’s faith. Will the ceremony be long? The ceremony will begin promptly at 12:00 PM. PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE. Guests are highly encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for seating. The ceremony will last approximately 45 minutes, with a maximum duration of one hour.

Reception

5:00 pm

What is it? The reception is the big party! It’s a chance to celebrate the marriage, dance, eat, and enjoy the vibrant mix of both Mexican and Punjabi cultures.

Dress to impress. Black tie is encouraged, but please know that your presence matters more than your outfit. ♡
