Things To Do

We are so excited to share some of our favorite places in and around our hometown!

Mystic Aquarium

55 Coogan Boulevard, Stonington, CT 06355
, (860) 572-5955

For all of our animal-lover attendees, the Mystic Aquarium is right across the street from the Hilton in Mystic. In September, it won't be terribly crowded. Belugas, starfish and sea lions - oh my!

Clyde's Cider Mill

129 North Stonington Road, Stonington, CT 06355
, (860) 536-3354

This is the PERFECT time to go to Clyde's Cider Mill (except that everyone in New England is thinking the same thing). if you're an early riser or trying to find some time to kill, you can head over to Clyde's for some incredibly well-known apple cider donuts, alcoholic and non-alcoholic cider and flavored wine. A lovely fall treat! Just expect lines - we are not joking that it gets busy!

Ortega's Mexican Restaurant

108 North Street, Groton, CT 06340
, (860) 405-1275

The very location of Matt and Jenna's first date! A little hole in the wall Mexican place right down the street from our wedding site. Make sure to order the enchildadas suizas (Matt's favorite!) and a strawberry margarita (Jenna's favorite!). Or, order whatever you like. You can't go wrong!

Tox Brewing Company

635 Broad Street, New London, CT 06320
, (959) 201-6057

Tox Brewery was founded by two fellow Ledyard graduates, not to mention friends of the family! Great beer - check it out if you're a craft beer fan! We celebrated our original wedding date right at this brewery with some friends.

Mystic Village/Downtown Mystic

Stonington, CT 06355

There are so many restaurants and places to shop in Downtown Mystic and Mystic Village - highly recommend to explore and check it all out. A few favorites are: Red 36 and Pizzetta.

Paul's Pasta Shop

223 Thames Street, Groton, CT 06340
, (860) 445-5276

Paul's Pasta is the best! Some awesome Italian food, all homemade and owned by a Ledyard family. Casual spot, doesn't take reservations to get there at odd hours or you may have to wait a little. We highly recommend the carbonara, couple favorite! Nomz.

Sift Bake Shop Mystic

5 Water Street, Groton, CT 06355
, (860) 245-0541

DELICIOUS baked goods right in Downtown Mystic - you cannot go wrong! They also have a rooftop bar with cocktails and a nice view of Mystic. A great spot with tasty treats!

Tree Trails Adventures Mystic

715 Noank Ledyard Road, Groton, CT 06355
, (860) 449-4628

A fun activities for families, if the weather turns out nice!

Bank Square Books

53 West Main Street, Groton, CT 06355
, (860) 536-3795

The sweetest bookstore in Mystic - pop in and support a local bookstore! Great spot to find your next read.

Rise

10 Water Street, Groton, CT 06355
, (860) 415-9519

A quaint and delicious breakfast spot in the middle of Mystic. Worth the wait! Hopefully if the weather is nice you can stroll around Mystic while you wait - go before you are hungry!
