Wedding Party

Samantha Gloria

Maid of Honor

After unsuccessfully trying to return her when I was five, I decided my sister would be my forever best friend and now my Maid of honor. Samantha has been and always will be the most compassionate person I know. She is willing to help anyone and forgives when others would not. I can attest to her forgiveness because she’s still in my wedding after I convinced her she could ride her bike down the stairs. Sammy is honestly the rock in my life. I know she is going to be a great sister in law because she’s already an amazing sister.

Christine

Bridesmaid

A guy in New Orleans once asked us if we were the same person? We say things at the exact same time...all the time. She’s always ready for an adventure and often it’s her and I leaving every one else behind to find the fun. We met while working night shift in the ER. Through new nurse struggles, boyfriends, and breakups, she’s been there for me. Her and Fabio often let me be the third wheel and tag along on their dates (thanks!). She is honest but supportive and always willing to help a friend in need. I can’t wait to have her by my side on my wedding day and always!

Laura

Bridesmaid

If you know me, you know her. She's my partner in crime, the sassy to my sweet and vice versa. I don’t think I’ll ever meet anyone as passionate for life and love. She makes me want to be a better human and I even started recycling because of her lol. We are opposites in many ways but we balance each other out. Laura has always made sure I didn’t miss out on the fun. Like the time at Dropkick Murphys where she pushed me in the mosh pit after I declared myself “too pretty to mosh”. I hope she will continue to help me push boundaries for the rest of my life.

Matt Zimmerman

Best Man

“Since we are not doing embarrassingly cliched embarrassing wedding speeches I’ll get the embarrassing stories out of the way myself”- Dave My brother was a constant enigma to me from the day I was born but at the same time is a steady source of inspiration. He has built opera sets in Tuscany, and New Zealand received a graduate degree from one of the best universities in Europe, and left a steady job to chase his passion, but still finds time for me. Not a day goes by where I don’t look at him and others and question if I measure up.

Stella

Flower Girl

Ben Krischon

Groomsman

I’ve been friends with Ben for close to 30 years so the amount of embarrassing stories could fill a a near encyclopedia brittanica size tome. I’m sure if he were giving a speech it would have a lot but close with how when I brought Jenn out to Illinois he was enamored with her. Such as an ill advised attempt at off roading at 16 I found myself trapped in 6 feet of snow by myself. Ben was the only friend in a storm to respond, driving out in an 86 crown Vic to push me out. Both our parents were somewhat shocked we survived our childhood friendship. But Ben as gone on to make quite something of his life, double majoring in business and economics he now runs a commercial construction company. He, like he always has, does everything he can to make sure those he cares about are never in need.

Miles Wieting

Groomsman

So the most family appropriate story I have of miles is his constant tendency to rip my sleeves off in a bar when we are out, or possibly the time his parents found me passed out in his back yard and all he did was without question show me a bed. Behind punk rock bluster, and a give em hell attitude he is all heart. He’s the type of friend who will spend hours listening to you complain about your problems and at the right moment tell you to shut up and grab a beer. Between touring with different bands, playing hockey, going to cubs games and drinking White Russians he finds time to teach in the Chicago public school system. Even with the kids who have the least chance he still gives it his all. Honestly one day I hope we call all dive into any day the miles has the passion for life.

Mike Carr

Usher

Mike’s picture of me on his phone is me sitting drunk on the floor with a bucket on my head drunk and giggling to myself. We met working on the ambulance together in Massachusetts doing everything from responding to 911 calls or just moving things around the apartment of the mean blind woman we would have to deal with. We went on a bunch of camping trips where I declared myself pope of chili town. He has always kept me on track career wise and encouraged me over beers or a slap to the head. He got me a job in the same ER where he met his wife but I’m not sure if that wasn’t just so he would look better by comparison. He currently runs the inpatient neurosurgery service at a Harvard teaching hospital and i would trust my life in his hands any day.

Zach Bennett

Officiant

The first time I met Zach I pissed in my pants. Despite that we lived together for two years and went on adventures and talked long into the night over beers or one time water bottles full of bubblegum vodka. He’s a Major in the Marines and in Afghanistan was decorated for showing restraint and judgement when others would not have. He left a high paying job at oracle to continue to serve his community as a Cambridge firefighter, and preach the gospel of CrossFit. He’s lives a life I admire beyond belief. He is ordained by the church of who gives a fuck as a seventh level dragon with 14 health points if you roll an 8
