We are so sad that we don’t get to celebrate our marriage with all of you at our reception as we had originally planned! We love you all and wish that all of our family and friends could attend, but unfortunately that is not possible. We apologize for any inconvenience to you all and thank you for your understanding. These challenging times have made us feel even more blessed to be married and to have the support that we received from you all. Aunts and Uncles of the bride and groom as well as the bridal party that still plan on visiting Traverse City despite the reception cancellation are invited to a Meet & Greet *see schedule tab*
Spencer and I met on January 13th, 2017 after swiping right on a dating app. We bonded over many things that we had in common and of course our love of Lord of the Rings. It didn’t take us long to realize how perfect we were together! After many laughs, many late night burritos, and many heart to hearts we fell in love.
On August 17th, 2019 Spencer made me breakfast and asked me what I wanted to do that day. We decided on going to his parents party they were hosting at their cabin on Silver Lake and then going hiking. Little did I know what he actually had in store for that day. When we arrived at Silver Lake we walked to the back patio to find no one outside. As I was looking out at the water, Spencer had gotten down on one knee! He asked me to marry him and I of course said Yes! After he proposed, both of our families came flooding out of the cabin to celebrate. I had no idea my family was in town so this was a wonderful surprise! Spencer did an amazing job with having them all there for such a special moment in our lives. Of course I started sobbing out of pure happiness and excitement. After that the celebration began!
