Jenna's version: We met at a wedding in the Outer Banks. I was living in Omaha, Nebraska and was a bridesmaid in the wedding. Seth was a cute DJ and was easy to talk to. We struck up a conversation and 3 hours later I knew his entire life story. We bonded over our faith and grief. I recently lost my dad and Seth was going through a divorce. We remained in communication when I flew back to Omaha and over time things became more serious. By January 2019, I decided I wanted to move to Durham to see if we could make things work. God opened all the doors. I quickly had a job offer, sold my townhome in Omaha, and moved to NC at the end of March. It was well worth it! :) Seth's version: I was excited to DJ a wedding for a friend at the beach. It had been a very hard year personally, mentally, and emotionally. Upon arriving, I slowly setup while taking in the ocean air, the warm sun, the light breeze. It was glorious. I was soon told that being the only non-family, non-attached, under-50 male at the wedding I was providing wonderful entertainment as the pool boy eye candy. Later when the reception was started this cute girl in a blue bridesmaid dress started bringing me drinks. After events were done, everyone spent time in the hot tub, swimming in the pool, watching movies, drinking and eating cake. We chatted throughout the evening. Before long it was 3am everyone was sleeping and it was a great day. Over the next few months there was random text and pictures (Sparta the cat, sooooooo much knitting, new hair cuts). After 2 visits and 6-7 months later, I drew a line in the sand so to speak. "I dont like long distance, at least not different time zones, so not saying you gotta move here but it's -1 million degrees in Omaha so..." Two weeks later Jenna applied and got a job in Durham, sold her house, packed up and moved to be with me.
