Welcome to our wedding website, we hope you enjoy exploring around. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at our wedding in March! We would like to thank each and every one of you for the part you have played in our lives, we would not be here today if it weren't for all of you. We are excited to start our new journey together and can't wait to celebrate with you on our special day! Much love, Rick & Jenna
We first met at a concert in Columbus in 2007, Jenna was about to go to college and Rick was heading into his sophomore year (don't ask us details, they are a bit hazy). After meeting, we exchanged phone numbers but never managed to meet up again. Five years later at another concert in Columbus, Rick spotted Jenna and decided to say hey. Much to her surprise, Jenna was pleased to see a tall handsome bearded man talking to her but could not quite remember where she knew him from (I mean if he knows my name he must be okay right?). We ended up watching the concert together and at the end Rick asked for Jenna's number. Although she had forgotten what he looked like, Jenna still had Rick's number saved from five years ago, even though Rick did not (Whoops!). Rick formally asked Jenna out on a date and three days later we met up at Bodega for drinks. Little did we know, two drinks and four hours later that it would be our last first date! The next day Rick moved back to Lexington and the next week Jenna moved to Nashville. And the rest is history!
We got engaged while in California on vacation. If you don't know, we love to travel and spend a lot of our time doing so. Because of this Jenna was thinking nothing of the romantic drives and activities Rick had planned. We spent our first day in San Francisco then the next day drove down the Pacific Coast Highway in our convertible starting over the Golden Gate Bridge & ending in Carmel-by-the-Sea, with multiple stops along the way taking in the sights. The last portion of the drive was through 17-Mile Drive between all the gorgeous golf courses including Pebble Beach Golf Links and the Cypress Point Club. Coincidently (or well-planned by Rick) 17-Mile Drive ends right next to the Carmel Beach and the timing was perfect for a sunset beach walk. After walking up the beach to a secluded spot under the 10th green of the Pebble Beach Golf Links, Rick popped the question and Jenna said Yes! We spent the next 30 minutes soaking in the moment as the sun fully set, and other than calling our families, we kept the news to ourselves and went out to enjoy a quiet romantic dinner in Carmel-by-the-Sea.
