Patrick and I met at a CPR class hosted at Davenport University during the summer of 2019. We were both in a place where we were not ready to date anyone at the time. Patrick and I sat next to each other during the 7-hour class and I caught him staring at me close to 15 times! We were definitely flirting during the whole class. There was an instant connection. Patrick and I hung out a few times after the CPR class and we were 100% ourselves. We stayed up for hours and hours talking about our lives. We both had the mindset of this is who I am, you can either embrace and love that, or we do not need to waste each other's time. Patrick is the most supportive and respectful man I have ever met. From day one he has made me feel loved and cared for. We are beyond excited to spend the rest of our lives together as best friends and lifelong partners in crime! We make each other better people, we feel that this marriage is God's plan for us, and we are nothing but excited to see what God has in store for us!
It was no secret that Patrick was going to ask Jenna sometime soon. Her whole family would constantly bring it up. During a family vacation in Torch Lake, anytime Patrick and Jenna went anywhere alone, the family would ask Patrick if he needed to grab anything from the room before they left. Patrick asked Jenna to go for a walk with him, she immediately asked "well do you need to stop by your room to grab a small black box or something?" even though he already had the box in his pocket. While walking around Jenna had the biggest smile on her face. It was absolutely beautiful. Patrick stopped Jenna and she gave him a big hug knowing what was about to happen. Patrick gave her a heartwarming speech, got down on one knee, and said "I don't know what our future has in store but the only thing I know is that I want to do everything with you". He then asked her to marry him, and of course, she said YES! They were able to celebrate with their family at Torch Lake and go watch the fireworks show later that 4th of July evening!
After getting married we will be vacationing in Cabo, Mexico for a week! When returning Jenna will be starting Occupational Therapy school and Davenport University. Patrick will continue his career at Plante Moran building experience in the field of accounting and studying to take the CPA exam. Jenna will be a graduate assistant for the Davenport University swim team. We will be living in Zeeland, MI, and saving up for a home! We are beyond excited to become a married couple and live in Jenna's hometown in her grandparent's apartments and be able to save money and get Jenna through her graduate degree! Please pray for a happy and healthy marriage filled with blessings and commitment to our Lord and Savior.
