You can reserve tickets for the COG railroad and take the train up or pay per car to drive up! Remember- it’s 14000 feet high and if you’re driving it’s best to not be afraid of heights! DRINK PLENTY OF WATER!
Manitou is a very cute little mountain town nestled into the foothills of pikes peak! They’re are great souvenir shops, restaurants, and of course sun water spa (you need reservations to soak in the tubs- but very much worth it). If you go you must drink out of the natural springs that are around town! Another spot to go early to!
1 mile, 2000 feet of evaluation, all stairs! Located in manitou this is a great stop if you are looking to be challenged while in Colorado! Please make sure you start early to beat the heat and the afternoon storms. You need to make reservations but if you do do it make sure you bring PLENTY of water.
TONS of beautiful trails in Cheyanne canyon. Some of the best are Mt. Cutler, Mt. Muscoco, seven bridges, Mays peak, and Helen hunt falls! Get there early to get a parking spot! But it is a beautiful place just to drive through as well.
