We're getting Married!

We met while both working in the events department at St. Mark Country Club. We were friends for 4 years before we started dating. Once we did start dating, we both just knew that this was it!

We usually do a trip at the beginning of May for Jenna's birthday. In 2018, Nick planned a trip to New Orleans with a 5 day cruise afterward to the Yucatan in Mexico. Jenna thought this was just a birthday trip and had no idea it would be a proposal trip! Nick had originally planned to propose while on a cave diving excursion in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. However, when we had to put on wet suits and helmets and would be in the dark, that plan went out the window. The next day, we went on a brewery tour excursion in Merida, Mexico (fun fact: This is the town that Jenna's grandfather, Robert Cardenas, was born in.) The last stop on the tour was Malacat, a hidden speakeasy covered in floor to ceiling candles. When the rest of the group exited Malacat, Nick pulled Jenna back inside and asked her to marry him! She said yes :)
