28 Event Space "The Station" 1300 W 28th St Kansas City, MO 64108
Although we love all of your children, in order to make sure all of our guests can relax and let loose we kindly ask that you leave your little ones at home. Get ready for an amazing adults-only evening!
Unfortunately, we cannot reserve a block of rooms at nearby hotels. There are plenty of great options across the downtown area and we have listed some in the "TRAVEL" section of our website. We recommend the Hilton Home2 (By KU Med) and the Holiday Inn Express Suites by KU Medical Center as well for the best mix between ratings and price per night! If price is a large factor for you, we recommend looking at hotels in Merriam, KS, Overland Park, KS, and Randolph, MO as they are lower priced, but still have good ratings.
No! Our photographer is very talented and we want to make sure his views of our beautiful ceremony are unobstructed. Please refrain from using cell phones or cameras during our ceremony and be present in the moment. We promise to share all of our amazing photos with you when we receive them!
We want to see our closest friends and family looking their best for this exciting moment in our lives! Our dress code is cocktail/formal, meaning we would love to see you in cocktail dresses, formal dresses, jumpsuits, pantsuits, or dark suits with ties. Our wedding colors are navy blue, sage/eucalyptus green, gold, and blush pink; feel free to dress in these colors or something else that makes you feel good. Things we would not like to see include jeans, flip-flops, athletic wear, neons, or white clothing!
Our ceremony and reception will both occur entirely indoors, in the same location at 28 Event Space. Briefly during our cocktail hour while the space is being flipped from ceremony to reception, guests may need to step outside onto the covered patio to make room for the flip--after you've got a drink in your hand, of course! If the weather permits, we may keep the patio open during our reception as well.
Unfortunately we live in Kansas, so I couldn't predict the weather if I tried! March in Kansas is normally on the cooler side (40s-60s), and if it is colder than we expect we will have space heaters on the patio to make it more comfortable.
Our venue has its own parking lot with an attendant to guide you to the right place! There should be ample spaces for all of our guests to park.
We will not be providing transportation to or from the venue. Please consume responsibly and utilize Uber/Lyft if necessary!
During our cocktail hour we will be serving passed appetizers followed by bread, salad, and pasta options for dinner at our reception.
Yes! There will be tip jars out for you to compliment our talented bartenders, so please contribute if you feel compelled to! We are also making sure there are plenty of non-alcoholic options for our friends and family that do not drink.
Your presence is a great gift itself! However if you choose to bring a gift or card for us, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
