Let's Celebrate!

We first met back in 2006 when we were freshman in college- Nash was studying at University of New Mexico and Jenna was studying at University of Denver, where one of Nash's best friends was also a student. Nash drove up to Denver one weekend to spend time with Jeremy and met Jenna in his dorm. Within a few minutes of meeting, Nash picked Jenna up, spun her around the room and gave her a big (and unexpected) kiss. Nash knew he was in trouble from the day they met! He continued to drive up to Denver to see Jeremy over the years, but was always secretly trying to spend more time with Jenna. As time progressed, Jenna and Nash became incredibly close but were always drawn to one another in a more romantic way. They would casually go on dates from time to time, but their career goals kept them separated by geography- Denver to Albuquerque, Austin to Denver, Salt Lake City to Austin and then finally Denver to Austin again. Nash had continued to pursue Jenna over the years and across state lines, but she was afraid to risk their friendship by starting a new relationship so far apart. In 2017, Jenna had finished her residency program in Utah and moved back to Denver. She confided in her best friend Rachel that she was afraid Nash would be "the one that got away" and was immediately encouraged to be bold and let him know how she felt. So Jenna stepped up the flirting game (which Nash TOTALLY did not pick up on) and invited him to spend New Year's Eve with her. The night Nash arrived in Denver, Jenna got stuck at work and was going to be late picking him up from Union Station. Being the best friend that she is, Rachel went to meet him and not-so-subtly laid it all out there for him. That same night, Jenna and Nash decided to finally give this thing a real shot... in the same city for once. They both knew in that moment that this would be their forever. It may have taken them over a decade to make it happen, but the timing couldn't have been more perfect for them ❤️
