House Or Rental

Home Rentals

There are plenty of options on the VRBO website. This area is quite rural. It is very easy to drive for miles on country roads. We recommend finding homes that are on highway 140 or within a couple miles of it. Once on the VRBO (or AirBNB) website click on the map link to choose a rental. Some say they are closer to El Portal than they actually are, thus using the map will give you a better idea. Refer to the driving distances below. All events for our wedding will take place in El Portal. Here are driving distances one more time: -Midpines(35 minutes away) -Mariposa(45 minutes away) -Yosemite West(1 hour away)

Travel Note

Camping

There are two small campgrounds close to El Portal, right on the Merced River! If you like the sound of this option, please book soon as space is limited- there are only 5 or 6 sites in each campground. The campgrounds are about 1/4 of a mile apart from one another. Here are the links to Dry Gulch and Dirt Flat (unfortunate name for quite a nice place): Dirt Flat Campground: https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/233839 Dry Gulch Campground: https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/233842 There are also campgrounds in Yosemite Valley.
