We met on a well-known dating app called Mutual at the end of January 2023. At the time, Mason was working full-time and Jenna was going to school full-time. One of Jenna’s classes, Marriage Prep, had an optional assignment to go on 10 first dates in 10 days with 10 different guys. To make a long story short, Mason was the 5th date out of the 10 and seemed like the clear choice to continue dating.

Mason schemed up a plan to take Jenna and his parents to the Saint George Temple open house because their parents had never met each other before. So all four of us drove down and went to the open house that day. Afterwards when we were done taking pictures, Mason asked his parents to wait for us in the car and took Jenna for a walk towards the backside of the temple. Where there was no one else in sight, Mason dropped down on his knee and popped the question!
