We’re getting married!

Jenna, from Michigan and Jorge, from Colorado met in 2021 through mutual friends on a spring break trip. Two of their good friends were dating, so they combined friend groups to have a week of fun in Florida. Jenna went with her friends from Michigan and Jorge came with his friends from Colorado. They developed a friendship and saw each other again the following July for the 4th in which they developed a deeper friendship. In 2022, they had decided to go visit their friends who lived in Hawaii together before Jenna went off to Physician Assistant school. They had a great time together and began to communicate frequently afterwards. That November, Jorge flew to Michigan to surprise Jenna for her birthday and joined the birthday celebration with all their friends. This is when their feelings for each other truly blossomed and by the end of the weekend, had already discussed when they’d be seeing each other again, which ended up being a month later when Jorge flew to Michigan again to celebrate the end of a semester. It became very evident very quickly that we were willing to make the long distance work. Jorge flew to Michigan when he could, and Jenna flew to Colorado during small breaks during school or for a weekend. After a year, Jorge decided to make the big move from Colorado to Kalamazoo, MI in order to see each other everyday and enjoy the presence of each other more than once a month. We’ve always bonded over our love for travel and adventure. After Jenna graduated Physician Assistant school, we took off to Europe for almost a month visiting Greece, Italy, and Spain. Jorge proposed to Jenna on September 5, 2024 in Positano overlooking the Amalfi Coast. It was truly an experience we will never forget.
