The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza
Educational but also interesting look at history. Would be great for the older kids and adults.
Legacy Hall
Lots of cool restaurants to try here, they also regularly have fun events, about a 20-30 minute drive from the hotel
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
Is very pretty but is all mostly outdoors so might be a little warm for this time of the year

BBQ restaurant that regularly has live entertainment. Has indoor and outdoor seating.
Hard Eight BBQ
Local BBQ place that has not disappointed each time we’ve went, gives a true Texas BBQ atmosphere.
Ninja Kidz Action Park
Local trampoline/ indoor play area for the kids
Jungle Castle
Perfect indoor playing for the younger kids, very close to the hotel
Rockledge Park
Beautiful park to visit for sunsets or for a long hike. Bikers do use the hiking trails a lot but is usually less crowded in the summer. It does cost $10 to get into the park.
Lonestar Adventure Sports
Perfect for kayaking or paddle boarding. Have rented with them multiple times and it’s been a great experience! The water can be a little choppy with the other boats in the lake. This is located in rockledge park so you have to pay $10 to park.
Common Ground Games
John’s second home! They have hundreds of board games you can choose from and sit and play in air conditioning. They also have many events if you want to join in!
Grandscape
The have many events as well as just a lot to do. Putt putt, bowling, Ferris wheel riding, shopping, racecar riding, virtual games. Just a fun place to walk around and do a couple fun things. Also have great restaurants.
Puttshack - Addison
Such a fun way to do putt putt and is all indoors. It is also in a fun area you can walk around after.
Joya Playground at Oran Good Park
This is an outdoor playground about 20-30 minutes from the hotel. It is also near a trail for a nice stroll if it’s not too hot. If you go at night, the park glows in the dark and is just fun for the kids!
