We may have done things a little out of order, but our love knows no bounds. Our love of being outdoors, antiquing, exploring monuments and museums and working on home improvement projects have brought us together and the rest is history!

Jenna absolutely loves her birthday and Christmas and loves getting presents (what girl doesn't!). Leading up to Christmas 2017, John kept telling Jenna that "its the thought that counts" for his presents he got her and to not get upset. Two days before Christmas, John was in the shower and Jenna decided to snoop under the Christmas Tree to see if she could guess what her presents were. Jenna felt them and they appeared to be some sort of clothing. During this time, Jenna was 6 months pregnant with Baby Sawyer and thought that John got her a shirt or something similar. Men, do not buy clothes for your pregnant wife as a gift unless you want to get "the look" because guess what, it won't fit that big belly! On Christmas morning, Jenna opened her presents from John and both presents were packs of men's tube socks. Jenna was trying to keep it together in front of the family but secretly was plotting how she was going to get John back for the thoughtful gifts. John kept telling Jenna, rather smugly, that "it was the thought that counts" while Jenna sat in silence. However, a few minutes later, John appeared from their bedroom with the most beautiful engagement ring and gave the most heartfelt proposal. John sure played Jenna but needless to say, it was beyond memorable!
