Is there a discounted hotel rate for guests?

Answer

Yes, information to book a room at the Holiday Inn Asheville Biltmore West is listed in the "Where to Stay" section of our wedding website.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to ceremony time. You are welcome to arrive as early as 4:30pm.

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

Canaan Valley's address is 118 Holcombe Cove Road, Candler, NC 28715. All wedding events will take place here. Transportation will be provided to and from the wedding ceremony and reception from the Holiday Inn Asheville Biltmore West. Complimentary parking will also be available at the wedding venue.

Is parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes. There is a guest parking lot on property. A small shuttle will also be provided to transport guests between the lot and ceremony space. Guests are also welcome to enjoy a scenic walk through the property, passing by the horse stables and pond prior to arriving at the ceremony space. Signs will be posted guiding guests to the ceremony space.

Will the events take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be located outdoors. Both the cocktail hour and reception will take place in an open air setting where guests can move freely between the outdoor courtyard and the indoor Speakeasy.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Asheville weather in October typically ranges from high 40's to high 60's.

Will you be able to accommodate my dietary restrictions at the reception?

Answer

Yes, please specify any dietary restrictions on the online RSVP form. If you have additional concerns, please email jacobandjennawedding@gmail.com.

What type of food will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We'll be serving light passed canapes during cocktail hour, followed by a buffet dinner, dessert, and midnight snack.

The wedding reception will feature an open beer and wine bar.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Due to venue space constraints, our guest list is limited to adults 18+ at this time.

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is the best gift we can hope to receive, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
