Do we need a visa to travel to Portugal?

Answer

There are new entry requirements for travel to Europe from the US. This is called the ETIAS visa and is valid for 3 years once you apply and should be undere $20 to apply. This visa application is not live yet and the date for this requirement continues to be pushed back. What airlines should I be taking?

Answer

There are many affordable flights out of Boston (Logan), New York (JFK), and Chicago (O'Hare) to Ponta Delgada (PDL). We suggest booking with either Sata Airlines or Tap Air Portugal for the best deals.

What accommodations are there?

Answer

We have *limited* rooming opportunities at our venue on a first come basis, Quinta do Bom Despacho. There are variety of different room types for rent and breakfast is included on the property. Please reach out to Jenna at jennahelen0430@yahoo.com for more information if interested. For all offsite lodging, there are affordable rooms for rent within walking distance to the venue.

How do I get to the lodgings from the airport?

Answer

By Car: Head southeast, take a slight left toward the high way (R1-1A), continue on the high way and take the exit toward P. Delgada/Paim/Arrifes, turn left, pass under the bridge and your destination will be on the right a bit further up, green iron gate, number 62, has some tiles with the inscription "Bom Despacho" on the side of the gate. By taxi: Just ask the driver to drop you off at "Quinta do Bom Despacho". If by chance he doesn't know where they are located please give the host's number - +351 96 529 71 29. The taxi will cost around 10 Euros.

What time is check in/check out

Answer

Check in is at 3 PM. Check out is at 11 AM.

What if I do not want to stay at Quinta do Bom Despacho?

Answer

It is not a requirement to stay on the property, however it is recommended due to the pricing and proximity to most of our events. Other accommodations may be made nearby at Ponta Delgada if you so wish to lodge off property though!

Where do I RSVP? What happens if I do not RSVP in time?

Answer

You can RSVP by clicking on the RSVP tab on our page, which will open up once the official invitations are sent out. There are a variety of different events that you can RSVP: Yes or No. We have a strict RSVP deadline of June 20, 2025. If we do not receive your RSVP by June 20 2025, it will be marked as "No." We will miss you celebrating with us, however we have to provide total guest count to our lodging and vendors in a timely manner. Thank you for understanding!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless specifically indicated on your invitation. For example, your envelope will be addressed as "X & Guest" "The X Household" or "Mr & Mrs X." We thank you for understanding!

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

We love your little ones! However due to the limited space at our venue, we have decided to keep our wedding adults only with the exception of the immediate family of the bride and groom.

Where will the ceremony and reception be?

Answer

For our wedding day, we will be holding a small ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour and dinner. After the celebration dinner, we will be heading out to downtown Ponta Delgada to continue the celebration. The post dinner outing will be 21+

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress codes are event specific and outlined on the event page. For the wedding day, we ask that you kindly avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride.
