Question

What Does a Nigerian Wedding Entail?

Answer

After our ceremony, we will be having a cocktail hour, followed by some Urhobo ceremonial customs that will serve as the first part of our reception. We'll be serving appetizers during the cocktail hour beforehand, to make sure no one gets too hungry! Some of the Urhobo traditions will include gifting, prayers, storytelling, food, and dancing. We are so excited to include our friends in the Nigerian traditional elements of our marriage.

Question

What Food Will Be Served?

Answer

The appetizers and main entrees will be Italian food, and we are also getting Nigerian plantains and jollof rice to go with dinner. For dessert, we are still debating... and we might wind up with donuts, as some of you will be familiar with the Donut Controversy I once posted to Instagram ;)

Question

What About the Dancing?

Answer

We will have Havoc Events as our DJ & hope that you are ready to throw it down! Some people like to play classics like Cupid Shuffle or the Cha Cha Slide - and while we'll get up & dance to these like the best of them, those songs are not our personal vibe. What IS our vibe? Think Pitbull, Lady Gaga, David Guetta, Rihanna, and the Backstreet Boys.
